FRONT COVER DECONSTRUCTION: METAL HAMMER
This is Metal Hammer magazine, as you can see the primary colour they have used for this issue is blue, the cover uses a mid range shot of Matt Tuck (vocalist of featured band) the head of the model is covering the title of the magazine signifying that the magazine is well established and so does not need to display the title as prominently as readers are already aware of what magazine it is, the main article is Bullet For My Vallentine and it apears that there is a discussion inside about the future of metal.
in the lower third of the magazine we can see to the left and right hand side further information about articles inside and lists of bands you can hope to head about, in the top section there are also a list of bands that are much better known than those in the lower side sections and under the names of each band their is a short sentence about the article.

DOUBLE PAGE DECONSTRUCTION: KERRANG
as you can see thsi double page spread from in this magazine is covered mainy by large picture of both the bands involved in the atricle those two bands being Bring Me The Horizon and Bullet For My Vallentine, in the picture they apear to be having a tug-of-war and this may imply that there will be agression involved in the up comming shows, the title of this article is ''YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!'' the work ''NOT'' is enlarged emphasising that you really don't want to miss it and the exclamation mark at the end emphasises this point even further. the article is explained in bold below the title and to the far left of the pages before the actual article stating that the two band will be touring together in the neer future and that it will be a very big tour as the article later explains it is a five date arena tour, and the first that they have ever done. The article contains a lot of quotations and has a lot of facts about both bands, it also appears to be unbias for or against the band and simply put across their opinion of how the tour will be.

for my perliminary magazine cover i have chosen a basic colour scheme consisting mainly of black and white this is to show the reader that its a clean and simple magazine thast doesnt try to glamourise things and tells it how it is. i have designed it so that the computer does not cover the title this is because my magazine isnt very well known and so the title needs to be on display to grab the readers attention. i also decided you use short titles and short catch lines for my other main articles so not to crowd my cover.
for the contents i decided to stick the the original colour scheme to keep the image of a clean simple magazine i also decided to keep it simple aswel by just showing a picture of the main articles and explain in further detail what the articles contain, it also has page numberings for other smaller articles that i have labelled clearly allowing the reader to navigate easily through the magazine and quickly find the articles that interest them the most.
